March 23, 2016 - Taipei, Taiwan - Innodisk, the service-driven provider of flash, memory and peripheral module for industrial and embedded systems, launches a new series of USB 3.0 expansion card EMPU-3201/EMPU-3401. When upgrading industrial systems, users encounter problems expanding the original system because industrial PCs are legacy solution and SOC platform is lack of USB 3.0 port. Furthermore, users prefer high speed and internal power. USB 3.0 is a fast, bidirectional, low-cost, dynamically attachable interface widely used in data transferring. The EMPU-3201/EMPU3401 with 2 and 4 ports selections can be used in various storage and communication applications. USB 3.0 High Speeds and FlexibilityWith a Super Speed of 5 Gbps, USB 3.0 allows maximum Ethernet speeds to be reached with absolutely no network bottlenecks. It supports UASP (USB Attached SCSI Protocol) to speed up data transferring. EMPU-3201 is built with a 90-degree horizontal pin header; it can eliminate the mechanical interface within 6.1 mm height of board space. For reliability, two mounting holes can firmly lock the expansion card on the motherboard for stability. Industrial-grade DesignEMPU-3201/EMPU-3401 series supports industrial-grade wide temperature and allows the operation to withstand temperatures ranging from -40°C ~85°C. With an extra 30μ" golden finger connector for a robust connection and strong shock and vibration resistance, its safeguards the reliability. The Ethernet modules feature 15kV ESD to prevent electrical damage to the system. Furthermore, we design the independent 1.5A overcurrent protection for each port. When the power supply exceeds the standard setting, it automatically cuts off the power to prevent system damage. Available now is the Innodisk USB3.0 expansion card EMPU-3201/EMPU-3401. The EMPU series offers flexible, high speed and USB internal power supply is the ideal solution for system expansion.
