History

Chairman Richard Lee and his partners in March of 2005 founded Innodisk. Their reason for establishing Innodisk was simple—they believed that they could do something unique and valuable for the storage market. With a passion for storage products and extensive industry knowledge, Lee and his team worked together to build the company, vowing that Innodisk would become a respected world class business that would contribute significantly to the advancement of the storage industry.

During the first two years of operations, the six-person team faced several challenges. The company was growing but lacked economic scale. Solely offering consumer and industrial flash memory, the young company initially relied on revenues from their consumer product line to support and generate growth. Although they made great strides in the consumer and flash memory segments, gaining a foothold with industrial storage proved to be more difficult. They recognized the need to establish their brand and build their reputation. Fortunately, Innodisk had talented dedicated people committed to the company’s success.

Within three years, Innodisk finally experienced more demand with its industrial flash storage products. Although it was a learning process and the team endured many hardships along the way, each step of their journey proved to be invaluable to the future of the company. The experience reinforced the importance of their people and the key roles in each milestone of Innodisk’s history and success.

Throughout the past 10 years, Innodisk has received awards and industry accolades for consistently delivering innovative products to the market that differ from their competitors. Now, with multiple patents and hundreds of products, Innodisk has placed a strong emphasis on R&D, which will focus on industrial flash storage and DRAM modules. This decision will better serve the needs of industrial application and its ongoing evolution. In the future, Innodisk looks forward to being a leader and serving its customers and partners by delivering storage devices and systems that support all industries with “Absolute Service”.
