The EMP2-X404 is a PCIe 2.0 compliant expansion card supporting configurable RS-232 / 422 / 485 modes, with data rates from 4800bps to 3Mbps (RS-232 921.6Kbps) and a 256-byte FIFO. Operating in industrial temperatures from -40°C to 85°C, it provides full RS-232 functionality through a DB9 connector. Without a daughter board, it minimizes mechanical intervention and offers termination-resistor control via DIP switch and RI / 5V / 12V output switching via jumper. ESD protection is included to prevent damage. Featuring a 30μ" golden finger and a 3-year warranty, it is designed and manufactured by Innodisk Taiwan.
