Innodisk’s new 32GB industrial-grade DRAM series aims at expanding capacity for the IoT and 5G fields
Taipei – July 24 2019 – Anticipating the exponential demand for data capacity is what has spurred Innodisk to launch its newest DRAM series. With the up-and-coming AIoT and 5G markets, sufficient large-scale memory capacity is no longer a pure data center concern.
Powering New Technology
Running AI at the edge and powering the high requirements of 5G puts a need for high data capacity and simultaneous data analytics at every link in the system infrastructure. The 32GB DRAM series solves this by effectively doubling the capacity compared to previous modules. Furthermore, at 2666MHz/s, the transfer speed is more than enough to meet high-capacity networking requirements.
Medical Logging and Wide Temp Rugged Servers
The rugged servers onboard unmanned vehicles have to handle large and continues data input, which in turn requires high capacity. Picture a driverless bus: it runs year-around in an urban environment with varying weather, being susceptible to air pollution and extreme temperatures. This is why the 32GB series can be further enhanced with Anti-Sulfuration measures, wide temperature specs, and heat spreader to tackle the tough conditions in the field.
Extended Compatibility
The modules are available in several form factors, including UDIMM, SODIMM, ECC-SODIMM, and wide temperature modules. Additionally, the new 32GB DRAM series is also compatible with the newest AMD X570 and Intel Z390/Z370 platforms, and the AMD Ryzen 3000 Gen.3 and Intel Coffee Lake CPUs.
