Early March 2010 InnoDisk Corporation, for the first time, launched the MiniPCIe series in Embedded World exhibition at Nuremberg. The MiniPCIe series includes the miniDOM, mSATA, as well as the MiniPCIe SSDs. The series will become more complete as InnoDisk Corporation launches the MiniPCIe DOM and MiniDOM-U to the MiniPCIe roster. These new additions provide specific solutions for customers and will be on display in June 2010 at Taipei Computex Exhibition.

The Mini PCIe, specified by PCI SIG, supports PCI Express and USB2.0 interface. Currently, wireless communication, specifically blue tooth and WiFi, are using embedded storage device interface. InnoDisk Corporation’s Mini PCIe series provides mainstream embedded storage interface. The series includes Mini PCIe DOM, miniDOM, miniDOM-U, mSATA, and Mini PCIe SS. The miniPCIe DOM, supports PCI Express and standard specification; miniDOM-U, supports USB 2.0; and mSATA and MiniPCIe SSD support SATA II. With various choices clients are able to choose appropriate supporting interfaces for their systems.

In product characteristic aspects, miniDOM meets the choice of cost benefit because it supports both SATA II and USB2.0 interface. Furthermore, Mini PCIe DOM supports the standard PCIe interface, and it has outstanding performance at small file random transfer rate. IOPS consistently perform at 6000 in the scenario where PCIe randomly reads a 4KB file. Mini PCIe SSD can support high capacity (as high as 64GB), and high-speed transmission continuously (as high as 160MB per second). Last but not least, miniDOM-U, similarly to the standard Mini PCIe interfact with USB specification, meets low cost requirements.

The dimensions of Mini PCIe series (Length x width x height: 30x50.95x3.4mm) meet the standardized Mini PCIe; with the exception of Mini PCIe SSD. They are convenient for systematic organizational designs due to their compact size. Additionally, they are suitable for NANO ITX, Mini ITX, Panel PC, MID, and Notebooks.
